Classes At West Ridge, we know that understanding and growing in our faith is important, and to help you in that, here are the classes we are currently offering beginning September 9: Breaking Free Ladies, join us for this Beth Moore Bible study, Wednesdays at 10am and 7pm. First Place 4 Health This class is the all-new Christ-centered weight loss and healthy living program that focuses on the four essentials of health and well-being: the mind, emotions, body, and spirit! This class is for ladies only as well. Join us Tuesdays at 7pm. Forgotten God Everybody is welcome to join us as we study the book Forgotten God by Francis Chan, Wednesdays at 7pm. The way Jesus went about winning the world was to disciple twelve men and empower them to carry on His mission when he was gone. Here at West Ridge we are called to continue in this mission to "make disciples of all nations."Home Teams are a group of 6-12 people that gather together on a weekly basis to share life together. The main purposes of a Home Team is to connect one another with other followers of Christ and reach out to the people around us with the love of Jesus Christ. Here we encourage and challenge one another to grow in our relationship with God. We do this by sharing about each others daily lives, and applying God's Word to our situations. Being a part of a Home Team will be the most important and impacting part of your experience at West Ridge. Here at West Ridge, we want our kids to be lights to their world, bringing all glory to God. Our kids programs are Biblically centered, interactive, and lots of fun! We realize what an important role we play in partnering with you, the parent, in teaching your child about the love of God. All of our teachers have been carefully screened and trained in taking care of and teaching your child. Our security system makes it easy to drop your child off and pick them up. We hope all the kids at West Ridge learn to G.L.O.W. in the dark. See you at church! Awaken Youth Church Awaken is the student ministry of West Ridge. The ages that are a part of Awaken Youth Church are from 6th grade to College age. We exist to see a generation come alive through relationship with Jesus, grow in a life consumed by faith and compassion, and be equipped to make disciples. We are resurrecting a generation! Women's Ministry We Women of West Ridge are attempting to be a Community with Passion for God's Presence & helping women (People) find God's Purpose in life. Our hope is that every woman who comes into contact with the family of friends of West Ridge Christian Community Church will have an unforgettable encounter of encouragement as we reflect the power and grace of God. Relationships do not just happen. They are pursued and produced through love and sincere affections. God has revealed His love to us through His Son, and it is our passion to share that love through genuine care and concern for others, as we learn to love Him and open our lives up to Holy Spirit as our source of power, love and meaning. Prayer The mission of our prayer ministry is to create an atmosphere for the people of West Ridge that will enable, enhance and encourage our Heavenly Father to draw us into a close, intimate relationship with Him. That intimacy and knowledge of God will be a first priority in the life of saints of West Ridge. Our desire is to be able to give a resounding "Here we are!" to the question asked in Jeremiah 23:18: "But which of them has stood (tarried, dwelled, or stood firm) in the council (a close deliberation or intimate consultation) of the Lord to see (discern or experience) or hear His Word? Who has listened and heard (hear with intelligence, and then obey, even telling others) His Word." "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15. We also know that God enjoys intimacy with us. Therefore, it is our mission, during our services to create an atmosphere of freedom and passion. We as the worship team exist to lead the body of West Ridge into times of intimate and reverential honoring of our God. Praise and Worship is a priority at West Ridge. So much so that worship is considered our calling card. We do not approach a worship service as a list of songs, rather a continuation of an everyday lifestyle. |
